The power of prayer
To night we want to start the series of lessons on the gifts of the spirit, and the greatest of the lessons is tonight, I want to show you a secret of the word of God, this should be no secret but for many of the church it is something they have long gave up on and they cannot exist in Christ without it. This is the subject of prayer.
Tonight we want to come from the position that you are saved and have established a regular prayer life, meaning you pray in the morning before you start your day, and you pray in the evening before you retire, or whenever you get your evening prayer in is between you and God. But morning prayer is vital because you give God your first and best part of the day.
Psalms|63:1 O God, thou ®art¯ my God; early will I seek thee: my
soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty
land, where no water is;
Psalms|63:2 To see thy power and thy glory, so ®as¯ I have seen
thee in the sanctuary.
I stress this tonight you can never pray to much, but you will die spiritually if you don’t pray. If Jesus being perfect had to pray then let us model after him. Pray, Pray, Pray.
