The Sun

Psalm 84:11-12 KJV

For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

I recently came across this scripture, and I began to wonder what God meant when He proclaimed "I am the sun." What do we think of when we think about the sun? Its larger than we could ever comprehend. It gives light and warmth. It is the source of life.


And in the same way, so is God our light, our life, and our warmth. God is also larger than we could ever know. He will sustain is. He will give you all you need.

I saw a young mother recently with her newborn baby. There was no need for that baby to worry. Its mother was there, and could be trusted to supply all its needs. It is our Heavenly Father's desire to have His children so trust in Him.


Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee!
