Replenish the Light

Colossians 3

 1  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

 2  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

 3  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

 4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

 5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

 6  For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

 7  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

 8  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

 9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds

Why do we need TRUE CHRISTIANS today?

*When is the last time you heard the prayer request, "Pray for me, that I'll be saved?"

*The lost need a place to fund Jesus

*Your life should be hidden in Christ, so His light can shine through you

*There is nobody too far gone, for Jesus to save

*Are you influencing your world, or is your world influencing you?

*When Godly men and women die, we lose some light. We need the light replenished.

*Will you be that light?

*Value the light God has put before you. Sister Stewart, Sister Linda, Sister Holbrooks

*When you need prayer, you find someone who lives in the light.

*People often weep at funerals, over conviction and guilt over things they did not do

*John Bunyan spent 12 years in prison, because he refused to say he would not preach. He wouldn't let his light go out!

*The church should grieve when light is lost

*John the Baptist was among the greatest men born of women. He was a great light!

*Walk as great lights

*This little light of mine. I'm gonna let it shine

*God has called you to be children of light

Revelations 21:24
 24  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

 Revelation 21:23-27 ESV

And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there. They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
